We have been on two trips of a lifetime with Steve and Askari Safari. Each trip has been a unique experience including up close and personal encounters with wildlife on foot, by boat/ canoe and safari vehicle. Both of these trips have also opened our eyes to the struggles wildlife experience and the amazing people who put their lives on the line to keep these animals thriving in the wild. "Where do I begin? We are a family of four (including two kids ages 15 and 11) going on an adventure in a continent so foreign to us. Thanks to Askari Safari (Steve & Kathy), all mysteries (real or imagined) about Africa and Zimbabwe in particular, were cleared leading to a most memorable trip. Details of the trip were handled most expertly by Steve & Kathy like it was their family's trip. In Zimbabwe, everything was taken care of, from transfers to dinner at Boma, to the unforgettable Elephant Ride. Steve was in his element. Very impressive knowledge and keen sense of the the animals and environment. His love of the place is so infectious. We felt safe even being so close to wildlife knowing that we have a first class guide with us. I love that we got a private safari while not paying for one.
